Research Associate: Spatial Proteomics

Research Associate: Spatial Proteomics

Date: September 14, 2026 - Copenhagen

Who we are

Resolute Bio is a molecular intelligence company. Our aim is to redefine how we understand and treat human disease.
Our in-house data generation platform, ResOne, combines tissue imaging, laser microdissection of small tissue regions, automated sample preparation, and mass spectrometry. We are looking for a Research Associate who enjoys careful, hands-on work and wants to help make these workflows more reliable and efficient.

The Role

You will prepare tissue and protein samples, operate laboratory automation, and keep clear records that make results traceable. You will start in Operations, learning our current workflow alongside the team. When our new R&D lab opens in early 2027, you will move into the growing R&D team to help improve sample preparation and automation and test new methods.
This is a hands-on role in a small, international team in central Copenhagen. You will build experience across the workflow, from tissue preparation to samples ready for mass spectrometry, while contributing to both routine work and method development.

You Will

  • Prepare formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue, including deparaffinization and hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining, and perform laser microdissection.
  • Prepare protein digests and peptides for mass spectrometry, and operate and maintain liquid-handling robots and automated sample-preparation workflows.
  • Process samples consistently at high throughput, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), and keep complete sample and quality-control records.
  • Spot problems, discuss unexpected results with the team, and help improve SOPs and sample preparation.
  • Support R&D experiments, including reference standards, method comparisons, and tests of new workflows.
  • Help keep the lab running through instrument care, reagent and consumables management, and sample logistics.

What You Bring

  • A BSc or MSc in biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, chemistry, or a related field, or laboratory technician training such as laborant, BMA, or MTA with equivalent lab experience.
  • Hands-on experience in proteomics sample preparation and/or laboratory automation, including liquid handling, gained in industry, a core facility, or an academic laboratory.
  • Careful pipetting and sample handling, with clear digital records of your work.
  • A structured approach: you value consistency, follow procedures, and speak up when something does not look right.
  • You enjoy spending most of your time at the bench, working independently on familiar tasks and collaborating when questions arise.
You do not need experience with every instrument or technique listed here. We welcome candidates with strong lab fundamentals and relevant proteomics sample-preparation or laboratory-automation experience who are keen to learn our workflows.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in an industry laboratory is a strong plus.
  • Experience with laser microdissection, histology, or microscopy
  • Basic experience operating or maintaining liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) systems.
  • Scripting for lab automation (e.g., Python, robot method editors)
  • Experience in a production or diagnostics lab, or with formal quality-management procedures.
  • Experience with electronic lab notebooks or laboratory information management systems.
